The NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana was officially launched on 26 July 2025, coinciding with Kargil Vijay Diwas. Under the initiative, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), in partnership with Zila Sainik Boards, facilitates free legal aid, counselling and dispute resolution for Military Veterans and their families.
The scheme enables Veterans to access legal representation in matters relating to property, pension and family disputes, particularly when they are unable to appear before the court personally. Assistance can be accessed through the local Zila Sainik Board offices or by applying online through the NALSA portal.
As part of its efforts to create awareness among the Ex-Servicemen community, Sainik Setu collaborated with Dakshina Kannada Zilla Ex-Servicemen Association (DKZ ESMA) and Udupi District Ex-Servicemen Forum to conduct awareness workshops at Mangaluru and Udupi, respectively.
The workshop at Mangaluru was conducted by Advocate Pratima Bangera, while the session at Udupi was conducted by Advocate Rajani. The workshops provided ESMs with an understanding of the legal assistance available to them under the Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana.
