This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which users may request cancellations or refunds for services booked through the Sainik Setu website or platform. By using our services, you agree to the terms mentioned below.

1. Nature of Services

Sainik Setu facilitates access to various services, including:

  1. Old Age Homes & Holiday Homes
  2. Home Nursing & Health Support
  3. Legal & Financial Assistance
  4. Career Opportunities for Ex-Servicemen

All bookings, Enquiries, and payments (if applicable) are processed digitally through our platform or through verified service providers. Please note that Sainik Setu acts as a facilitator, not a direct service provider, unless specifically stated otherwise.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 User-Initiated Cancellations

  1. Users may cancel a service booking or enquiry before it has been confirmed by the respective service provider.
  2. Once a booking has been accepted or confirmed by the provider, cancellations may be subject to the provider’s individual cancellation terms.

2.2 Provider-Initiated Cancellations

  1. If a service provider cancels a confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances, users will be notified promptly.
  2. In such cases, users may choose to request a full refund (if a payment was made through the platform) or opt for an alternative service provider (subject to availability).

2.3 Sainik Setu’s Right to Cancel

  1. Sainik Setu reserves the right to cancel any booking or account under conditions such as fraudulent or suspicious activity, invalid user or provider information, or violation of platform terms and conditions.
  2. Users may be informed via email, and if eligible, refunds will be processed as per Section 3.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 Eligibility for Refund

  1. The service provider cancels the confirmed booking.
  2. The service booked through Sainik Setu is not delivered or initiated as promised.
  3. Technical or transaction errors lead to duplicate or failed payments.

3.2 Refund Exclusions

  1. Cancellations made after the service has commenced or been delivered.
  2. Refund requests for services coordinated directly with third-party providers outside the Sainik Setu platform.
  3. User dissatisfaction arising from personal preferences or changes of mind.

3.3 Refund Processing Timeline

  1. Once approved, eligible refunds will be initiated within 7–10 business days.
  2. Refunds will be processed through the same payment mode used during the original transaction.
  3. Users will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated.

4. Modification of Bookings

  1. Users can request booking modifications (such as date changes or service category updates) before confirmation from the service provider.
  2. Once confirmed, modification requests will depend on the provider’s policies and availability.
  3. Any changes after payment may impact pricing or service timelines.

5. Non-Refundable Services

Certain services offered through Sainik Setu may be explicitly marked as “Non-Refundable.” These may include:

  1. Registration or application processing fees
  2. Verification or document submission charges
  3. Services with pre-booked slots or limited capacity (for example, holiday homes or old-age care admissions)

Users are advised to review the service details carefully before booking or making any payment.

6. Force Majeure

Sainik Setu and its partners will not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or non-fulfillment of services due to events beyond reasonable control, including:

  1. Natural disasters
  2. Government regulations
  3. Technical failures
  4. Provider unavailability

In such cases, every effort will be made to reschedule or find an alternative service option.

7. Dispute Resolution

  1. Users may contact the Sainik Setu Support Team with complete details of the booking and transaction ID.
  2. Our team will review the case within 5 business days and communicate a resolution.
  3. If unresolved, the matter will be handled as per Section 10 (Governing Law) of the Terms & Conditions.
