Sainik Setu participated in the Leadership Camp organised by Youth of GSB at Mulki on 09 April 2026, with the central theme of “Armed Forces as a Career for the Youth and Military Leadership.”
The camp provided an engaging platform for young participants to understand the Armed Forces as a career option and gain insights into the values and leadership principles that define military service.
Armed Forces as a Career
The interaction highlighted the diverse opportunities available to young Indians across the Armed Forces and the qualities required to pursue a career in uniform. Beyond professional opportunities, military service offers young people the opportunity to develop discipline, resilience, responsibility, teamwork and a strong sense of purpose.
The session also provided an opportunity for the youth to gain a better understanding of the life of a military professional and the commitment involved in serving the nation.
Learning from Military Leadership
Military leadership extends beyond giving orders. It is built on leading by example, taking responsibility, making decisions under challenging circumstances and putting the team before oneself.
The principles of military leadership have relevance far beyond the Armed Forces and can help young people develop as responsible leaders in their personal, professional and social lives.
Sainik Setu’s Perspective
For Sainik Setu, participation in such programmes is an opportunity to connect the younger generation with the Armed Forces community and create greater awareness about military service, its values and the leadership lessons that emerge from it.
Engaging with youth also contributes to building a stronger connection between Veterans, serving personnel and the next generation, while creating opportunities for Veterans to share their experiences and knowledge with young minds.
