As part of its commitment to the wellbeing of Veterans and their families, a delegation of the Udupi District Ex-Servicemen Forum undertook a series of home visits to senior Veterans on 07 September 2026.
The visits were aimed at personally enquiring about their health, wellbeing and general needs, while also providing an opportunity to stay connected with members of the Veteran community.

The delegation visited the residences of:
Krishna Poojary H – Ex-Nb Sub
Fredrik Lobo – Ex-Nb Sub, Sepoy
Rosario Walter – Ex-AC1, Air Force
Kolakebail Vasudeva – Ex-Nb Sub
Vittal Nayak – Ex-Hon Sub Maj

A Personal Connect
The delegation comprised Lt Cdr Sudarshan Pai, Mr. Ganapayya, Mr. Sundar Bangera, Mr. Jayanand Poojary and Mr. Ganesh Rao.
Beyond the formalities of a welfare programme, these visits provided an opportunity for the team to meet Veterans in their own homes, listen to them and understand their current circumstances.
For Sainik Setu, such initiatives reinforce an important principle— wellbeing begins with staying connected. Regular personal interaction with senior Veterans helps strengthen the community support network and ensures that their needs and concerns remain visible.
Sainik Setu appreciates the Udupi District Ex-Servicemen Forum for its continued efforts towards the welfare and wellbeing of the Veteran community.
